Mathematics of Biological Systems: a Calculus-Based Approach
MATH LS

Course Information

Description

In this course, we will use mathematical modeling to understand the behavior of biological systems. We will focus on creating and understanding models using concepts from calculus, as well as using computational tools to explore the implications of such models.

Although we will study ideas from calculus, this course has a much more applied focus than Math Mb. Students who intend to take Math 1b or Math 21a should take Math Mb.

Pre-requisite: Math Ma

Class Notes

Math LS is taught in small sections throughout the day on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule (9:00-10:15 am, 10:30-11:45 am, and 12-1:15 pm). For information about how to register for this course and to rank your time preferences, please see the Canvas site.
