Description

This course covers research design, sample selection, questionnaire construction, interviewing techniques, and the reduction of data, and related facets of population survey investigations. Content focuses primarily on the application of survey methods to problems of health program planning and evaluation. Treatment of methodology is sufficiently broad to be suitable for students who are concerned with epidemiological, nutritional, or other types of survey research. This course requires a live, online session with a small group of fellow students and the teaching team during Week 1 or Week 2.

Any student who does not meet the Wave 1 or Wave 2 criteria can add themselves to the waitlist (if enrollment requirements are met) at any time during the enrollment period. At the beginning of each priority wave, students on the waitlist who meet the Wave’s criteria will be automatically enrolled into any remaining seats in the course (pending no time conflicts).
MPH-GEN and MPH-EPI students do not need to petition to enroll. Other students may petition, with students in summer-focused and summer-only programs receiving priority for petition approval.
