Course Information

Description

Although human genomes are ~99.5% identical, the small fraction that varies between individuals holds the key to understanding human history and health. This course introduces students to the core principles of human population genetics and demonstrates how these concepts can be applied to topics such as migration, admixture, natural selection, and the genetics of complex traits. By the end of the course, students will be able to critically evaluate recent research in the field. Coursework includes lectures, problem sets, exams, writing assignments, and in-class discussions of primary literature.
